Is God sovereign, or does humanity have freewill?
This question is one of many that have decapitated the “body”… “Scholars” spend their lives trying to prove something that they will never actually know!
If you ask me, that doesn’t seem all that smart…
So, who deems someone a scholar anyway? Especially when it comes to the Almighty God!
Father, forgive Your creation for being ignorant, stubborn, arrogant, assholes, who spend more time arguing about who understands Your mystery than sharing what we actually know to be true… The freedom that is offered through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
It frustrates me to know end, to think about the times where I have spent hours arguing about the mysterious things… the things that cause us to actually need faith.
Go figure, right… that our faith requires more faith than just not seeing God. But, we would actually have to learn how to say, “I have no idea how God works in that situation”.
There is so much freedom in embracing the mystery of God… After-all, He alone is GOD… A title that we aren’t even able to comprehend, let alone the intelligence behind it.
Personally, I have decided to keep a tight rein on when and to whom I use the words, “I think God…”
One of the realities that brings me to this moment is that I think God should put a limit on grace, for men like me. It’s a good thing, that God specifically tells me that His grace is fully sufficient, and there is nothing that can remove me from His perfect hand.
We throw this type of statement around with such arrogance… and I think it’s just stupid. You don’t know what, why, or how God chooses to act, react, or interact with us, His creation…
If faith has brought you into a relationship with your Father, the Almighty God, then have faith He is perfect, even if you get lost in the mystery! Boast in the fact that you have a relationship with GOD, and you have accepted the freedom offered by Jesus’ perfect life, sacrificial death on the cross, and conquering resurrection from the grave!
At the end of the day, if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain… but in fact Christ has been raised from the dead… [1 Corinthians 15:12 & 20]
Embrace the mystery.
