Who is DG?

Typically, I explain “who I am” by explaining who my parents were, what I’ve been through & who I was. Unfortunately, none of those things tell you who I am today…

My name is Dennis Gable, & I am a man who seeks after the heart of God! I have toiled with many unsatisfying pursuits, as I’m sure you can relate… However, I live to tell the story of a relationship that is more satisfying, peaceful, & gracious than you or I could really imagine. It is not religion that I speak of; rather an active, intimate walk with Jesus Christ.

People are my passion! I truly love the daily & momentary interactions with you, my fellow human[s]. I love the beauty & I love the pain of vulnerability in relationships, because I can relate to so many different elements of this life

If you are interested in knowing more about the history of my journey, please watch the video below, Live.Pray.Cuss.Fight.Heal., a documentary by Nathan Kinkel.

If you are able to relate to any aspects of this story, please feel welcome to share those similarities with me.

    Dennis,

Saw you at Praxis this morning and then didn’t connect after church was over. Great meeting you the other night at the restaurant, look forward to seeing you again. I checked out your site and blog, great stuff.

Let me just tell you; YOU ROCK!!!!
Your story was chilling and I am glad that you shared it with the world!
Its crazy! I have been brought up a Christian my whole life….so I never knew what it was like to not be one…which could be to my advantage or not…what I mean is that; As an young adult I had to determine what it really meant to be a Christian.. Am I a Christian because my mom said so? Am I a Christian because I don’t want to go to hell? or Am I a Christian because I love Christ, because I want to be like him…and because he is the way the truth and the life!!
David Puaa and I had our first daughter when we were 18….babies having babies….I had a decision to make, I have a daughter to raise and I am her example….that could be a lot of pressure…when I was forced by my own self to grow up really fast and be a mommy I found that the support I needed came from my father, not my earthly father for I do not know him, but my heavenly father… He fills every void and through him I have and am still learning the “principles” He gives us to live out a successful journey here on earth! Although His idea of success is sooo different than ours!!
Anyway! I want to somehow encourage you to keep the faith!! Always remember “The Joy of the Lord Is My Strength!!” and NO MATTER WHAT predicament you may find yourself in, you can ALWAYS count on Him to lead you through!!
    Take care! =)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path…” Proverbs 3:5&6

    • Tosha,
Thank you for the encouragement! I hope that you will continue to pursue Jesus, in everything you do!
